Bride Wars! The poster already tempted me to watch long time ago... and the trailer was kinda little disappointing cause it was really cheesy but the movie was actually pretty good! It was funny and super touching towards the end... The brides acted really well but the grooms were like blocks of wood... Ha but luckily there weren't much scenes of them. I super love the scene where Liv asked her boyfriend to marry her, her expressions were really convincing, a pity though, the wedding planner, Marion had very little scenes, i would love to see more interaction between her and the brides...And i love how they edited the movie with the pictures and still frames!!! OK go watch the movie!!

WITH TWILIGHT THE BOOK!!! The movie was alright, too condensed!!! Such a pity! So many details were left out! But i absolutely loved the baseball match scene! The music was good, the mood was there and the action was great! But Robert Pattinson didn't do much justice to Edward Cullen in my POV, he wasn't as charming as Edward in the book, in terms of a lot of things, expression, language, tone, posture, movement! Ok, but he sure did look pretty good in some scenes :D Alice was such a cutie! And Jasper was stunning, kinda like more stunning than Edward sometimes (that is in the movie of course!). In the book, Edward was impeccable! BTW Dr Cullen looks damn good in the movie!

Anyways enough of my crazy fangirl rattling! Ha glad that i still remember my blog password to be able to rattle about this! If not i think my friends' ears will be in for big trouble!

Those who haven't watch the movie or read the book, go read the book first! You will appreciate it better! :D

Christmas is almost here! Ok....not really... but hey i am looking forward to it! Cause actually i really wanted to get a proper wallet since a very long time ago... trying to get out of the roxy and ripcurl phase i guess... but yeah saw this wallet

Quick update on my new doll! Her name is Delilah M. ( M for Montmartre :) cause the name of this particular doll is Heart of Montmartre ) and she's absolutely cute! She's limited edition as well, only 3000 pieces in the world! I got her at a toys convention at suntec and fell in love with a doll on display but it wasn't for sale and i got her instead! I think i am crazy, i actually felt happy after taking my authoring test, not like relieve kinda happy but like "wow i havent taken a test in a long time!" kinda happy, it felt great like a drug addict getting his drugs injected kinda adrenalinish great... i didn't even feel the slightest bit of mental exhaustion after the test, i even felt refresh! That i could continue doing my other assignment after that and helped deb with a bit of shading..wow i am really crazy... anyways i havent posted any crap in a long time...i didn't realise that Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" is so popular among my friends! This is a really serious matter that all sane humans around the world should take actions to help prevent, be it financially or physically, even just the simple action of not buying fur can alleviate the situation and discourage the brutal slaughtering of animals for their fur. I am super serious about this, its extremely not a joking matter, when i viewed the video(not all of it cause i can't bear to watch the animals being skinned alive, without feeling disgusted and emotionally unstable) and read the content on the page, my hatred for not only the fucking china chinese grew, it came to my mind that all those wealthy designer brands are to blame as well. Yup! After getting all inspired by the pretty blythe clothings( and also by their "extortion" price) from sugarmag, i decided to sew some clothes for my dolls myself! Seriously, my sewing skills are horrible, horrible to the state that i had to be told how to tie a proper knot by my dad a long time ago, but now! I can say that its slightly better.. i guess : well anyway this is something i did yesterday!

Its a mini dress i made from the leftover sleeve of a pajamas which was altered! I came up with the design. Not bad right! Today i made a tee as well(will post a pic once i finish it totally!)! I got the pattern from online though, BTW this is the web! http://www.puchicollective.com/ Its real cute! The thing on my wishlist now is a sewing machine! So that i don't have to hand stitch every single hem which is very tedious!

Shopping Spree + Utter mortification

Shopping Spree!

Yesterday, i did something i haven't done in about 6 years.... i went shopping for toys! Ok not really toys but new stuff for my blythes! I went to collect her at Wheelock cause she had to be repaired for her broken pullstring...and now she has a rather obvious scar on her hairline :(. But anyway, at least she is repaired.The shop was like heaven for me! The blythe section was bigger than i had expected! The boots from Sugarmag were so tempting!!! But it cost $19.90! I really wanted to buy it but luckily i found a similar(fully made from plastic, while the Sugarmag one was totally like a real human boot with buckles and synthetic leather) one in another box, my dad knocked some sense into me and therefore i compromised with the plastic boots which cost $12 and it came with an umbrella! Sugarmag stuff are absolutely gorgeous, i just had to get some stuff from them so i bought 2 stockings from them! My best buy included a pair of dark green mary janes which look absolutely chic on her!

Picture of all the stuff i bought(I know! the hat doesn't match the outfit!)! The nice lady even gave me a blythe shopping bag!

But it was quite a pity all the spectacles sold out on that day..haisss...i had always wanted a pair of geeky black rimmed glasses for them but i just can't find it...The damage for yesterday was $87+(including the fees for repairing my doll). I feel kinda stupid spending so much on dolls, like i can actually spend that money on a very nice set of clothes for example, but just couldn't resist!

Mortification...

While i was looking through the blythe stuff, this little eurasian boy(about 3, 4 years old?) was like showing everyone what he was going to buy(his mother was choosing another toy or something) Then he wanted to give me the toy he was holding on to and at this damn weird moment, i offered him like a blythe dress i was holding on to( like: "do you want this?" *smile*) Then when i smiled, he stared straight at my teeth! And asked the most *URGH!* question, he went, "Do you brush your teeth?". Awkwardly i went, " Yeah...i... do brush...my teeth", and then he started declaring to everyone "I brush my teeth!" Luckily he asked that question quite softly and not much people heard(i hope!!!). I think he thought that my braces where dirty stuff stuck to my teeth and i didn't brush properly.. *awkward!*

Guess i can safely post all these wonderful stuff now, so here goes!! I've actually got so much to post i think i am gonna separate them to 2 posts! The most recent event first then!

Went to Kbox with Shar and Mat, screaming at the top of our voice try to sing Avril Lavigne's and Kelly Clarkson's songs then when Shar was in the mid of her song, a guy knocked like he had knuckles of steel and swung open the door. I just thought it was time to foot the bill then suddenly this guy came with a cake and said "happy birthday!". I was like totally stunned and i turned to look at Mat and Shar, they were both as clueless as me and the guy looked at me and said "happy birthday" again.

And i was like "for me???"

Guy: "yeah. its your birthday next week right?"

Me: "Is it?"

Guy: "yeah!"

Me(still puzzled): " Was it them (points to Mat and Shar, assuming that they planned it)"

Guy: "Oh no, its by our company."

Me(still not convinced): "are you sure?(you're in the right room or something?)"

Guy: "yeah."

Me: "oooh ...ok... tha...nks!"(but still extremely confused and suspicious)

We(the 3 of us) pondered for a pretty long while, cause i kept thinking like "you sure nothing will pop out once we scoop it?" or "is it F.O.C?!!!" Mat was like pretending to be the staff, "here's your bill, its 50 dollars for the cake."

Alas we just hack cared and sunk our forks into the cake! Black Forest Cake to be exact!

So once again it was a celebration for both Mat's and my birthday!

Wow it was fun! Its a pity Baoxin and Debbie weren't around for the photo shoot! There's so many things i wanna type about but picture speaks louder than words and i don't have the pictures with me!!! I will definitely post another post once i get hold of the pictures! OMg today was crazy!!! Went Vivo to meet Mat and Hols to take a look at a cosplay event, wow was i amazed... people dressed up as manga characters and hols dressed as Maya Fey from Phoenix Wright! Kawaii ne! Went Daiso and to my utmost surprise we (Chien Lin and i) found Snackoos!!! its actually called Kuro Karinto and it looks exactly the same as what Ema Skye has been eating throughout the Apollo Justice! How cool was that!( ok maybe not to those who don't know about snackoo)

My prize possesion of snackoo! Only 2 bucks!

An individual Snackoo...looks like *ahhem*...ok sssshhh. To be honest, the taste was a little disappointing, like not something i will get addicted to. Ok let me kinda describe the taste, first of all, it tastes sweet, it tastes kinda like burnt caramel or brown sugar and the crunchiness is slightly harder than japanese rice cracker and overall it leaves a sweet burnt after taste on my tongue and throat...Its actually a nice tidbit but just not as nice as expected :)

Oh i finally bought the sweater/cardigan that i wanted!! But in a different color!

Had planning for the game and its all done!!(Sorry Xavier i spelt your name wrongly :P) I think the whole game its considered to be only moderately difficult for our class (Cause we are all smart people! ;) After that Wii-ing with them was really fun...(Thanks Hols, Tim and Xav for helping me unlock the whole of Wario ware!) And it was such a pity Mat couldn't join us! ( And Mat u were super funny, u actually thought i was Xavier..haha...even though my attempt of trying to mimic his voice failed terribly)

But you see, my theory is that when there is someone that i don't like(not necessarily an enemy but maybe a rival, a competitor or just someone you don't have positive feelings about) it kinda like give me the drive to wanna do better than them in any aspect it may be. No its not outside the movie theatre that we were at... WE WERE AT NYP's 2008 OPEN HOUSE! How cool is that to have a popcorn machine just outside the lecture theatre. And guess what, the popcorns were F.O.C!!!

Everyone from my class helped out and look! How wide Debbie's smile is :D. No one dared to come forth and take the popcorn (cause they didn't know it was free) but once Debbie shouted "FREE POPCORN!!!!!~~", Singaporeans finally showed what they are capable of... which was ugly...There's even a teacher who tooked 10 cups of popcorns in total!( she even made 2 trips) I only saw her second trip which really disgusted me... Matilda or Holly(i can't remember) offered her popcorns and she just totally ignored our presence and helped herself to 2 cups from the box...tsk tsk. I don't know whether she's taking for her colleagues or waht but she could have been more polite!

Second day of Open House! We( Me, Hols, Nad, Tim and Chien lin) were on duty...Our duty was to....play games(among ourselves most of the time)how fun!!! HAHA ...My fave game out of the 5 was CATHEDRAL!!! Its kinda like the game which required the least amount of brain cells dying...haha...definitely my kinda game! Look how happy they are playing!!! awwwww.... :P

After a "tiring" open house that we had to handle, we had to go for drawing.......E.W.W.W. and dear chien lin fell asleep fishing ...haha..ok the balloon wasn't there at first...we hung it there and he didn't notice at all and continued to sleep!

haha...oh and i forgot to mention the sausages sold during the open house were FABULICIOUS! YUM!!!

There's this really cute japanese biscuit that have lots of animal shapes which were way too cute to be eaten and guess what there is a GIRAFFE!!!!

The biscuit's not really tasty though (oh my the picture's super blur.)

I haven't had such a great dinner in a few months since yesterday. My whole family, as in the four of us ate together! Although nothing much, except praises for the food were said. Oh and the food was FABULICIOUS!!! I think those were the best Fish n Chips i've ever tasted! I was glad my dad made the choice of John Dory!!! Yesterday was also the first time ever i've tasted three types of oysters in a meal...words alone just can't describe the absolutely juicy taste of them... ahhhhh... my favourite out of the three types was the fine de claire (i hope i spelt it correctly) its from France and its slightly saltier than the two other types of oysters which i can't really remember the name...

Ah and something really funny happened yesterday... my dad was like "hey wanna go for this really famous ice cream at damsy road?? .... Its called ...umm... Ben and Jerry's!!"

All three of us were like "Huh? ..... hahahahaah"
Then my brother went "Ben and Jerry?? Its every where!!" (in that FYI kind of tone)
and then my mum and i were like "You can even get it at NTUC you know....in like one whole tub form??!!"

I guess the word Soy and unhealthly never came together in my mind before until my friend sent me this email about a girl getting all sorts of illnesses after consuming soy products like a drug addict... so i went to do a little research on soy and boy did i find out alot on the bads of soy ... for example it mimics some hormones in the female body and increases risk of booby cancer and it affects the thyriod glands and for men it affects metabolism rate making it difficult to lose weight!!! I'm not sure whether its really really as in REALLY true or not but it has definitely put me off soy... wonder if any of my dear friends(ESPECIALLY those who studied Food and Nutrition) can enlighten me a lil bout soy, as in whether is it really harmful... For the good of health!!! TATA!!!

I just need a place to rant actually....i have no idea what i am going to write next but i am just glad that at least i can have a computer to rant at... its safer here...ranting to gallop is actually highly unsafe cause she will leak out my secret somehow...i am seriously waiting for term break to come not so that i can slack or anything like that but so that ny parents will finally be willing to bring me to the dentist so that i can get braces...and hopefully the dentist will announce that i will be able to get braces without plucking out any tooth.. ok maybe if she will just say that she will put on braces for me then i will be happy enough ... cause the last time i asked her bout it she said my mouth cannot open wide enough but well i don't really... what ever she do... pry open, saw my lips bigger, put toothpicks whatever i just really wanna get braces, i have had enough of my teeth ... i want them straighter...and i wanna try all the colours! exhaust all that the dentist have... wow that will be cool...the freakin tennis players downstairs are super noisy... if only i had a 14 stories long pipe so that i can shout into their ears and tell them not to curse swear and scream while playing tennis... its unhealthy for them...

I finally found sometime to doodle something on my dust-filled, butterflies infested blog... Sydney was a good(i won't say great) place to go, the weather was amazingly cold, but still tried to put on a brave front when my nose were already freezing so as to not be forced to zip up to my neck, looking like a red potato sack... I was totally gorging myself with food over there, the food wasn't fantastic... and i seriously regret it now cause my dear friend said that my face looks chubbier!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!I DON"T WANT!!!!!
There was this shop in Sydney called DIVA and i totally splurged there(not just for myself but for my best friends as well:)
Talking about yesterday, it was the most fabulous day i've had since like blah blah ago... singing, eating and talking crap about every and anything in the world ...WOW!!! WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SPEND A DAY!!!haha

OMG! Seriously i thought that the workload at poly will be less heavy after hearing all that base less assumptions from people who have never been to poly...(Upon typing up till here i actually realised that i was quite stupid as to believe what those people said... and still continue saying) DAMN...and i don't no why but i have this unexplainable fear for a tutor cum lecturer(Opps! Am i being too precise???) He/she is actually a pretty nice teacher but he/she just gives me the creeps which led me to imagine that one FINE day, he/she might just take out a gun and shoot all of us before killing him/her self (Sounds like the Virginia Tech Massacre...guess i'm not that creative). Therefore i've been trying real hard to finish the assignment that he/she handed out before the deadline, in case it might trigger that little spark in him/her which is enough to kill us all... ...(Ok maybe i 'm getting a little crazy after doing the colour theory assignment which made me look like i am blind, scrinching my eyes looking at shades of grey that have nothing on them and that are less that 30 cm away...) Ok... i shall end my nonsensical post and finish up my yoghurt which had turned to milk... :)

On wednesday i went grocery shopping with my mum at Giant Hypermart and boy it was boring... but some things are absolutely hilarious(and kinda dumb). Ok, the first funny thing was that my mum was helping our nieghbour shop for some diapers and TO MY SURPRISE, there was this diaper and what was printed(pretty large) on the pack was "DISPOSABLE DIAPERS"!!! I mean which diaper ain't disposable??? You mean people actually reuse the diaper??!! Is freaking dumb yet hilarious...The next thing, this time its ironic... i passed by a counter which solely sells coffee... and the promoter at the counter was literally falling asleep at the counter(she was hidng behind it with her head lying on the table)!! Hello!!! Stuff some caffeine into your mouth!!! Yup... thats about it...

Wanna deeply congratulate my friend on her successful enrolment to Temasek Poly!!! Really HAPPY for her and hope that she regains her normal self and not send those worrying and scary messages to her friends anymore!!(Heard that!!!)First day at school wasn't as bad as i had thought...Lessons weren't boring(well we only had one lesson)and i could at least maintain my concentration on MOST part of the lesson... It was actually quite funny cause one guy drew line that was supposed to represent himself and the teacher actually asked him

Have work to do but didn't feel like doing it at all... i can imagine myself stretching over to reach for my drawing paper and sketching something at random but my body's too lazy to do anything like that, its like my brain doesn't control my body anymore...perhaps its because of this super duper long break(which is about to end) BUT! surprisingly i had the sudden adrenaline rush to play my piano(which i haven't touch for a very very very long time)and i had actually in a very short time(EH...thats what i think) figured out the notes for the chorus part of 非你莫属(although it sounds a little dry cause the bass clef part is super simple)!!!but at least i did something :)
